This decision, which will take effect on January 12, 2026, after a final parliamentary review period, removes the last major obstacle to the project's completion. This is a resounding victory for Universal and fantastic news for the local and national economy.

The complex, which will cover more than 200 hectares on the site of former brickworks near Bedford, will not be just a simple theme park. The project also includes a 500-room hotel and a vast area for shops, restaurants, and entertainment, mirroring the famous CityWalk in Orlando.
