After Chessington World Of Adventure, we are heading to a park aimed at teenagers and young adults. Although the park offers family attractions, it is mainly for its roller coasters and horrific theming that the park stands out. It's time to experience our first loops of the trip.
General Atmosphere of Thorpe Park
The theme park is located on an island in the middle of stretches of water. Once you pass the entrance, you arrive at a covered hub before heading back out to discover the attractions. The park is much less green than Chessington. The attractions are placed next to each other with a bit of theming for some of them. In terms of integration, it's closer to a Six Flags. For other attractions, the park has invested a little more on the subject, but we'll talk more about that in detail later.
We went there on a Sunday and the crowds weren't too heavy.

Thorpe Park Roller Coasters
We will start with our preference for Thorpe Park. This is Stealth. This launched roller coaster is not the tallest of its model but remains a very good experience. Its launch is powerful and with very, very little wait, you can chain rides. You are launched at 129 km/h to reach the spire at about 62 meters high.
Saw The Ride is a Gerstlauer Eurofighter type roller coaster. Its layout is nice and it is less unpleasant than it seems. It's still a Eurofighter, so be careful with your ears :)
The Walking Dead The Ride is an indoor roller coaster. It is especially appreciated for its theming based on The Walking Dead series. Your mission in this attraction is to escape the zombies. You are immersed in the atmosphere right from the queue. The integration of the theme during the ride is quite well done. Until you exit the building, expect to remain in this unsettling atmosphere.
The Swarm is a Wing Coaster type roller coaster. The theming in the area is really nice. You are invited to take refuge in a church during an alien invasion, and this serves as the station for the attraction. The sensations are good and we love it when a roller coaster passes through the station, which is the case here with an inversion.
Nemesis Inferno is a suspended coaster. It's fun right from the start of the ride, even before the lift. The roller coaster is effective and powerful, but it's not our favorite suspended coaster, but no worries, we still have a lot of fun on it.
Colossus is an Intamin roller coaster that is currently under renovation. It is known for its large number of inversions. Unfortunately, the park has not received the parts and the layout is incomplete. It's a shame for us because it is an iconic roller coaster, particularly for the corkscrews at the end of the ride. We will console ourselves later during the stay.
Other Attractions at Thorpe Park
The park offers many other attractions, but the little ones will be left wanting more. The park offers 4 water attractions, including Tidal Wave, where you can expect to be soaked from head to toe.
Among the other attractions, you will find a top scan, giant swings, a small drop tower, an enterprise, and many others. All of them are quite thrill-oriented.
Our Opinion on Thorpe Park
Overall, we had a good day at the park. Is it a park we would gladly return to? No, it's not the case, it lacks charm. However, the diversity of attractions and roller coasters makes it a must-visit. For our part, we will wait for other new attractions before returning to Thorpe Park in the coming years.
