Aqualibi, part of the Walibi Belgium complex in Wavre, is a prime destination for water enthusiasts in Belgium. Offering a tropical escape with its constant temperature of 29°C, the park offers a combination of thrills and relaxation areas, all in a change of scenery. Whether you're looking to speed down thrilling slides or simply relax by the water, Aqualibi has something to satisfy every desire.

The History of a Tropical Oasis

The aquatic adventure at Walibi Belgium began with the inauguration of Aqualibi on July 6, 1987. Initially designed as an extension of the amusement park, it was even accessible for a limited time with the Walibi entrance ticket. Quickly, due to its success, Aqualibi became a park in its own right from the end of 1987. In its early days, the water park incorporated decorative elements inspired by the Tintin album "King Ottokar's Sceptre", creating a thematic link with the entrance area of Walibi at the time.

Over the years, Aqualibi has undergone several major developments and renovation phases to modernize its facilities and enrich its offering. In 2011, the park benefited from a complete redesign. More recently, in 2018 and late 2023, significant investments were made to expand the water park, add new spectacular slides and strengthen the immersion in a Caribbean theme, thus offering an even more captivating experience for visitors.

Attractions for All Aquatic Tastes

Aqualibi offers a wide range of attractions to guarantee entertainment and thrills for everyone. Speed and adrenaline lovers will be delighted by the many slides. Among the must-sees are rapid descents such as Flash and Xtreme, offering thrills with their curves and plunges. For buoy experiences, slides such as Bi-Bob or the more recent Banzai and Pomakai promise descents full of twists and turns, including an impressive vortex for Pomakai. The most daring can brave Waikiki and its giant 18-meter wave.

Beyond the thrill slides, Aqualibi does not forget families and those who prefer a gentler experience. The wave pool is a timeless classic for having fun in the currents. The Rapido, a wild river, invites you to let yourself be carried by the current through a themed course. Spaces dedicated to the little ones, such as Mini Beach and Kiddie Bay, allow children who do not yet know how to swim to frolic safely in adapted aquatic playgrounds. Finally, for relaxation, Lagoon and Volcano Springs offer soothing bubble baths to relax in a tropical atmosphere.
