The Tivoli Gardens amusement park covers a fixed area of 80,000 square meters right in the center of the Danish capital. Constrained by its physical urban limits, the park has developed a world-unique expertise in optimizing its space and constantly renewing itself, applying its creator's fundamental principle that the park will never be completed. It is home to more than thirty attractions designed for all audiences, from families to thrill-seekers, all integrated into remarkably refined landscaped gardens.
The park's historic flagship remains the Rutschebanen, a wooden roller coaster that has been operational since 1914. Joining this icon is a brand-new major themed area named Hikari. This immersive 2,000-square-meter space reinterprets the vibrant atmosphere of contemporary Japanese streets through Tivoli's own artistic vision, incorporating authentic materials imported from Japan and a work signed by Takashi Murakami. The zone encompasses the iconic Dæmonen roller coaster as well as two major new additions: Hotel Hikari, an interactive walkthrough filled with optical illusions, and Tyfonens øje, a rotating drum-type attraction offering high accelerations unmatched in Scandinavia.
