Siam Park was developed by the Loro Parque company, led by Wolfgang Kiessling. Construction began in 2004, and the park officially opened its doors to the public in September 2008. The park quickly gained international recognition and has received numerous awards since its opening.

The main offering is the water park itself, featuring numerous slides for all ages, a lazy river (Mai Thai River) flowing through caves and lush landscapes, and a large wave pool (Wave Palace) capable of generating large waves for surfing. The area is well served by roads and public transport, making it easily accessible from Tenerife South Airport and other points of interest on the island.
