Parc de la Vallée
Located in Massais, on the banks of the Argenton River and in the heart of a green valley between Thouars and Argenton-les-Vallées, Le Parc de la Vallée is a popular leisure destination in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. This family-friendly amusement park, created in 1971, has developed to offer around thirty attractions in a natural setting conducive to relaxation and fun for all generations.
Atmosphere and Natural Setting
The atmosphere at Parc de la Vallée is that of a family park that is both rustic and wild, in the good sense of the word, offering a pleasant change of scenery. The site is known for being very shady, which is particularly appreciated on hot days. The paths are wide and practical, facilitating the movement of strollers and access for people with reduced mobility. The park provides picnic areas, including some equipped with barbecues, highlighting its friendly atmosphere and inviting you to spend a whole day there. The riverside environment and abundant vegetation contribute to creating a soothing natural setting, offering a welcome break between the more dynamic attractions. Street scenes with costumed characters, such as cowboys, add a touch of thematic animation.
Attractions for All Ages
Parc de la Vallée offers a variety of attractions designed to entertain a wide audience, from the youngest to thrill-seekers. Among the thrill rides are a bobsleigh, the Grand Canyon, and the Rapido, an 18-meter high water slide. The 2024 novelty, Pirat Water, is also presented as a thrill ride.
For a more family-oriented audience, the park offers attractions such as the Nautic Jet, the Magic Pomme, the Luge, a Ferris wheel, a pirate ship, bumper cars and a show.
The youngest have dedicated areas with ball pools, mini-rides, trampolines and adapted slides. There are also quieter attractions such as rides in buggies or on the rabbit carousel. The park has an aquatic area with a paddling pool and slides, ideal for cooling off in the summer.
Park Target Audience
Parc de la Vallée primarily targets a family audience. Due to the diversity of its offering, it is aimed at children of all ages, as well as teenagers and adults. The attractions cover a wide spectrum, ranging from very gentle rides for toddlers to attractions providing more adrenaline. The park is designed to allow the whole family to spend a pleasant day together, with activities that can be shared. Its pricing makes it accessible, and services such as picnic areas and barbecues reinforce its appeal for family days out. The park also welcomes groups, which confirms its capacity to receive different types of visitors looking for a day of leisure in a natural setting.
