In the heart of Morbihan, Brittany, Kingoland has quickly established itself as a must-visit leisure destination for families. This amusement park, which started about ten years ago, has grown and offers a diversified range of attractions that appeal to an increasingly large audience. Far from the gigantic parks, Kingoland cultivates a human-scale, friendly and joyful atmosphere, where adventure and entertainment await young and old. With its varied themed worlds and attractions for all ages, the park offers a day full of emotions and discoveries in a pleasant setting in the heart of the Breton countryside.

From Young Park to Growing Family Destination

Kingoland's story begins on April 19, 2014, with its opening in Plumelin, on the edge of the RN24 highway. Launched with an initial investment of 2 million euros, the park's ambition was to offer family entertainment in Morbihan. From its first years, Kingoland experienced constant growth in attendance, exceeding initial expectations and establishing itself as a significant player in the landscape of regional amusement parks in France. The park has regularly invested in new attractions to enrich its offer and attract a wider audience, adding thrill rides, water attractions and developing its themed areas. A recent important turning point for Kingoland was its acquisition by the Looping group in March 2024. This integration into an international group specializing in regional leisure parks opens up new prospects for development and future investments for the park, potentially allowing it to accelerate its growth and strengthen its position in the market. Kingoland, which has been able to retain its customers and attract new visitors thanks to its evolution, continues its journey to become a major leisure destination in Brittany.

A World of Themed Attractions and Nearby Stays

Kingoland offers a rich and varied selection with nearly 40 attractions spread across several themed worlds that stimulate the imagination. Visitors can explore the Wild West with its mechanical horses and saloon atmosphere, venture into Pirates' Bay, discover the Steampunk universe inspired by Jules Verne, or dive into the colorful world of the Circus. The park also houses a Dinosaur Forest for a trip back in time among prehistoric creatures. In terms of rides, Kingoland offers thrills for all tastes, from roller coasters like Gold Rush, Maranello Twist or Apollo Steamrocket for speed enthusiasts, to gentler, family-friendly attractions. Water fun is also on the agenda with attractions such as Timber Splash (a log flume) and the Octopus Splash Attack, as well as water play areas such as Le Repère des Pirates (The Pirates' Lair). Classic attractions such as the pirate ship, the Pistone Tower drop tower, a dynamic cinema and a ghost train complete the offer. The park continues to innovate, with the announcement for 2025 of a new Native American themed area including two new family attractions and a new show, promising new experiences for visitors.

Although Kingoland does not have hotel infrastructures integrated into the park to qualify as a "resort" with on-site accommodation, its location in a dynamic tourist region allows visitors to plan a complete stay by combining a visit to the park with accommodation nearby. Many accommodation options are available in the vicinity of Plumelin and in Morbihan, including gîtes, vacation rentals (houses, apartments), campsites and hotels in nearby towns such as Vannes or Pontivy. These options allow families to stay several days in the region and fully enjoy the amusement park for one or two days, while discovering the surrounding tourist attractions, thus offering a vacation experience combining amusement park and regional exploration.

Exploring Morbihan: Nature, History and Breton Culture

Kingoland benefits from an advantageous geographical location in the heart of Morbihan, a Breton department renowned for the diversity of its landscapes and the richness of its heritage. The park is easily accessible by road and is an excellent starting point for exploring the region. Morbihan is famous for its gulf, a small inland sea dotted with islands and peninsulas, offering magnificent maritime landscapes and opportunities for cruises or nautical activities. Historic towns of character such as Vannes, with its medieval ramparts and lively port, or Josselin, dominated by its imposing castle, are a short drive away and invite you to discover Breton history and architecture.

The interior of Morbihan also offers beautiful discoveries, with forests, valleys (such as the Blavet valley) and picturesque villages. The region offers numerous opportunities for outdoor activities, such as hiking, cycling, horseback riding or water sports on the coast or on the inland lakes. Kingoland's location allows visitors to combine the intense entertainment of the amusement park with the exploration of the natural beauty, rich cultural heritage and unique atmosphere of Brittany.
