Nestled in the Cleebronn wine region of Germany, Tripsdrill is much more than just an amusement park; it's an institution that claims the title of Germany's oldest park. Since 1929, Tripsdrill has managed to preserve its authenticity and charm, while developing to offer a varied range of entertainment, combining Swabian tradition with modern attractions for the whole family. The park is distinguished by its carefully crafted theming, faithful to Swabia in the 1880s, and its warm atmosphere managed by the same family for three generations.

A Legacy Rooted in Time

The history of Tripsdrill began modestly in 1929, when Eugen Fischer built a mill, the Altweibermühle (the old women's mill), and added a restaurant and a slide that legend had it would restore youth to women who used it. This original concept quickly gained popularity, making Tripsdrill a popular excursion destination. After the destruction of the original mill by lightning in 1946 and its reconstruction in 1950 by Eugen's son, Kurt Fischer, the site began to develop. In the 1950s, an animal park was added, followed by the first mechanical attractions in the 1960s. Over the decades, under the impetus of successive generations of the Fischer family, Tripsdrill has continued to grow and integrate new attractions, while preserving its unique character and local roots.

Attractions Imbued with Tradition and Innovation

Tripsdrill today offers around a hundred attractions designed to entertain all generations. The park is renowned for its successful blend of traditional elements and thrilling attractions. Among the iconic roller coasters are Mammut, an impressive wooden creation, Karacho, an intense Launched Coaster with inversions, and the more recent additions from Vekoma, Volldampf, a Family Boomerang, and Hals-über-Kopf, a Suspended Looping Coaster that intertwines with Volldampf in a carefully crafted setting. Other notable attractions include the G'sengte Sau, a Bobsled Coaster that was the first of its kind built by Gerstlauer, and the Rasender Tausendfüßler, one of the park's oldest roller coasters.

Water attractions also play an important role at Tripsdrill, including the famous Badewannen-Fahrt zum Jungbrunnen (the bathtub ride to the fountain of youth), a unique log flume, and the Waschzuber-Rafting, a more eventful raft descent. The park also offers a variety of family and children's attractions, such as drop towers (like the Donnerbalken), teacup rides, a lazy river (Jungle Expedition), and numerous interactive playgrounds. In addition to the attractions, Tripsdrill is home to an animal park with around 300 animals and a wine museum, the Vinarium, which showcases the region's heritage. New features continue to enrich the park's offerings, such as the Wilde Gautsche, a more recent interactive attraction.
