Introduction
Efteling is one of the oldest amusement parks in the world. It opened in its current form on May 31, 1952, with the Fairytale Forest, but as early as 1935, a vicar and a priest wanted to create a sports and recreation park with football fields, training grounds, and a playground. Seeing the potential of the park, many plots of land were purchased, and they built a Fairytale Forest, which was an immediate success. Over the years, the park has grown with many attractions, now welcoming more than 5 million visitors per year!
The Park
The park can be visited in one day when it's not too crowded. To be able to see everything and enjoy the shows, a 2-day stay should be planned.
The Hotels
The resort has 3 hotels. The Efteling Hotel is the one you will see when arriving next to the park, and it has direct access to the park.
