Walt Disney Studios
The Walt Disney Studios Park is entering a new era! As part of a massive expansion plan, it is officially renamed Disney Adventure World on March 29, 2026. This guide helps you navigate between classic cinema attractions and new immersive worlds, with strategic advice from Park Trips.
Park History and Metamorphosis
Inaugurated on March 16, 2002, this park was initially dedicated to the behind-the-scenes world of cinema. In 2024, a historic transformation was announced to turn it into a park celebrating adventure.
Major New Additions for 2026
- World of Frozen (Opening March 29, 2026): Dive into the heart of Arendelle with its castle, Nordic village, and snowy mountain.
- Adventure Bay & Adventure Way: A massive 3-hectare central lake surrounded by themed gardens, serving as the stage for spectacular nighttime shows featuring drones and fountains.
- Tangled Spin: A new family attraction themed to Rapunzel, located on the promenade leading to the lake.
Must-Do Attractions (Top 5)
For a successful day in this expanding park, here are our priorities:
- Crush’s Coaster (Worlds of Pixar): The most popular attraction. A spinning roller coaster set in the world of Finding Nemo. Tip: The wait rarely drops below 60 minutes; prioritize very early morning or the Single Rider line.
- Ratatouille: The Adventure: A unique immersive 4D experience where you are shrunk to the size of a rat in the kitchens of Chez Gusteau.
- The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror: An timeless classic with its randomized drops. In 2026, the queue has been enhanced for an even more thrilling immersion.
- Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure (Avengers Campus): An interactive attraction where you sling webs with your hands to help Spidey capture the Spider-Bots.
- Frozen Ever After (New for 2026): The main attraction in Arendelle. A musical boat ride that takes you to meet Elsa in her ice palace.
Strategy and Planning Your Day
The park is more compact than its neighbor, but wait times can be intense. Here is our suggestion:
1. Managing the "Crush's Coaster" Flow
If you are not among the first at "Rope Drop," do not go to Crush's Coaster right away. Wait for lunchtime or the end of the day (just before closing) to see the wait time decrease. Use the Single Rider line if you are willing to not sit next to your party.
2. Mobile Ordering and Dining
Avoid endless queues at the registers:
Use Click & Collect on the app for the En Coulisse restaurant (park entrance) or the Stark Factory (Avengers Campus).
For a quieter experience, try the new restaurant The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, offering a breathtaking view of Adventure Bay lake.
3. Don't Miss the Shows
This is the major strength of this park! The shows are often considered the best in the world:
- Mickey and the Magician: A breathtaking magic and singing show at the Animagique Theater.
- TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure: An innovative show featuring a live orchestra.
- The new nighttime lake show: A must-see starting in March 2026 to conclude your day.
