Bellewaerde Aquapark

Bellewaerde Aquapark, located in Ypres, Belgium, is the indoor water park of Bellewaerde, the famous park that combines attractions and animals. Open year-round, it offers a pleasant and constant temperature of 34°C (93°F), inviting you to escape to the tropics regardless of the weather outside. Designed to complement Bellewaerde Park's offerings, Aquapark offers an immersive aquatic experience designed to entertain the whole family, from the youngest to the most adventurous.

Genesis of an Aquatic Oasis

The idea of creating a water park at Bellewaerde arose to enrich the existing offer and provide a destination accessible regardless of the season. The project, involving an investment of 17 million euros, was announced in May 2017. Construction of Bellewaerde Aquapark began in 2018 on part of the park's main parking lot, covering an area of approximately 3000 m² (32,000 sq ft). The official opening to the public took place on July 1, 2019, marking a major milestone in the development of Bellewaerde. From its inception, Aquapark sought to integrate Bellewaerde's core values, namely fun, adventure, nature, and family, while addressing technical and environmental challenges, particularly in water management.

Attractions for Varied Aquatic Pleasures

Bellewaerde Aquapark offers a diverse range of attractions to satisfy all desires for sliding and water play. Thrill-seekers will find their happiness in the various slides. Among them, the Maxi Splash allows you to descend a wide track in a duo on a buoy, guaranteeing laughter and splashes. The Rainbow, built around a fort, offers a colorful slide. For the more daring, slides like the Aquaaventure promise faster and more winding descents, sometimes embellished with buoys for an even more intense experience.

The water park does not forget families and younger visitors. The Junior Explorer is a large aquatic play structure in the form of a galleon, equipped with slides, water cannons and other interactive elements. Bambino Beach is an area specially designed for toddlers, with shallow water and games adapted for their first aquatic pleasures. The Aqua Fort is another interactive playground with obstacles, slides and a famous bucket that regularly tips over, causing a wave of excitement. For those who prefer gentler activities, the Jungle Expedition is a lazy river where you can drift along with the current through a tropical setting, offering a relaxing break in the midst of the hustle and bustle. In addition, Aquapark also has a wellness area to fully relax after the exertion.
