The new Amazonia rapids ride at Bellewaerde is open and we tested it.

During our discovery of the new Mundo Amazonia zone in Bellewaerde, we had been able to see the Amazonia raft ride being tested. It was quite frustrating, so as soon as we could, we went to test it. And here is our review!

In the new zone, this new attraction is ideally located with viewpoints on the elevator and the enormous Half Pipe of the ride. All the technical aspects of this unique ride are visible and will delight experts. The queue is efficient and moves forward quite well, even though the number of passengers per boat is quite limited.

Once in place and after being weighed, we are comfortably seated in the boat and feel safe with the handles in place. It starts with an inclined platform that takes you towards the lift which has been accelerated to improve throughput. You arrive at the top really quickly before going through the turns of the first part of the ride. So, be careful, it spins and it spins a lot. It's super fun, it gets you wet on the small intermediate descent, but the final splash is rather gentle.

We then tackle the best part with the elevator. It's impressive to see and super smooth. Once at the top, it's time to gain momentum for the Half Pipe. The descent is impressive and the wave of water that falls back onto the boat adds to the fun. It's truly excellent. After a few back and forths, you reach the end of the ride. And then, surprise, before returning to the station, they offer us a descent into the mine via an elevator, and here we are in a mini Tower of Terror but aboard a raft. There are light decorations that enhance the immersion, it's really well done.

As you will have understood, we can only encourage you to go and test this novelty, which is excellent in a park that we really like!
